This policy explains what personal information Otto Studios ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We keep this as short and clear as we can.

Who we are

Otto Studios is a web design and AI assistant service based in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. For anything relating to your data, contact us at Charlie@ottostudios.uk. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to provide our service and run our business:

• Contact details, your name, business name, email address and phone number, when you get in touch or sign up.
• Business information, details about your business that you share with us so we can build your website and assistant (for example your menu, opening hours and photos).
• Payment information, handled securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Basic site data, your browser stores a small preference for light or dark mode on your own device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Build, host and maintain your website and AI assistant.
• Set up and manage your subscription and billing.
• Reply to your enquiries and keep you updated about your service.

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are performance of a contract (delivering the service you signed up for) and legitimate interests (running and improving our business). Where required, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run the service, including:

• Stripe, secure payment processing. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers, to keep your website and assistant online.
• AI providers, to power your chat assistant. Only the information needed to answer customer questions is used.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you are a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your data, where we are able to.
• Object to or restrict how we use your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email Charlie@ottostudios.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check back from time to time.
